Shoot for the moon
“Shoot for the moon, because if you miss at least you will be among the stars.”
I have no idea who said this. All I know is that at some point in history it has been said (and in turn, allowing me to use it)
Well, its pretty much self-explanatory. You need to set your sights on something. It doesn’t matter what, just the fact that you set your sights on something. It doesn’t matter whether you achieve it or not. As long as you have a purpose for each day of your life.
I go to church a lot more than most people. I’ve gone to a Christian school for all of my life. But I’ll be honest. Sometimes I find it hard to believe. My mind starts to wonder around, thinking about how far-fetched the thought of God is. But then I get back to where my mind is supposed to be- It doesn’t matter how hard to believe it is, all that matters is that I have faith.
When I tied this together with the quote, I got to thinking about whether the moon that I’m shooting for is the one god wants me to set my sights on. I thought about the movie that I went to see with my friends. (batman: the dark knight) yeah, I know- abrupt subject change. There was part of the movie where people were in boats, and had the choice of living but blowing up the other boat with everyone on it, or waiting for midnight where they got blown up anyways, waiting until the other boat decided to blow them up. At midnight, neither boat had decided to give in and blow their neighbors up.
I began to think- Would I step in front of a bullet for my friends? Of course, I though. But how easy is it for me to say that- would I really sacrifice myself for someone else? I thought about it long and hard.
I have many plans for my life. I am shooting for the moon. I plan to be very successful- but what if god’s plan for me is different?
I finally decided on an answer that I was comfortable with. I may not like everyone that I know. But if I had the chance, I would sacrifice myself for them. I could not live with the guilt, knowing that I passed on a chance to help them
Now this is an extreme comparison, but I am bothered about what is going on with Amara. I don’t know if what Harry says is true about Amara, but she may be drinking.
Drinking underage is one of the main reasons people go to drugs. Now, Amara may not be acting as immaturely as we all think. But it doesn’t matter- we cant risk it. Why are we all sitting here worrying about her hurting our feelings? We need to sacrifice ourselves. I don’t know whether Amara is going to make more mistakes. But if she does, I will be saying to myself “George, you just sat there and let her wash her life down the drain.” We need to do something. She will listen to us if we double team her.
She has a good life. We can’t let her waste it like this. What are we doing right now? Nothing. We sit and watched saying “Amara is being stupid.” Why are we not out there telling her that she is making a mistake?

This weekend (i know- original title)
Yesterday i went to Eamon's house. (i know what you're thinking- "george....at eamons house??) We went to the Hollywood bowl to see some people playing beatles songs. It was really cool. Then we sat in the car in the car park for fortyfive minutes (stack parking) When we got back at quarter to twelve, we watched fast and furious Tokyo drift.
Then this morning we woke up early to drive down to West Arlington at Santa Monica beach. we set up crosses for soldiers who have died in the iraq war. 4113 dead as of today.

My mom and i are facebook friends!
Today was graduation practice- which was extremely boring.

The judging was very rigged for some people. Won't go into detail here.
THEN I WATCHED PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
it was good, but i wanted the girl and the phantom to live happily ever after.

A post, as instructed
Okay, today was very funny.
This may seem like a lame post, as most of these none of you will get, but Camille ordered me to make a new post.
"They had women back then in the Civil war too!" Tessa
Amara Berry said something really funny, but I won't go into detail. (i know, now you want to know)
"I dont think they had DVDs back then" Again, can't go into detail here.
Okay, thats it for now
Going to watch phantom of the opera! I love the music

Thurday
Today was a little better. Still mad at the fact that im not in english honors. My mom is no longer as mad at me, because tessa got her report card today and she had a b+, which means mom is disappointed at her instead. I guess thats the way that works.
Day one of the ficlets boycott. (i still don't know why im taking it out on ficlets.)
SAT's (anacronym [i think i spelled that wrong] for STUPID ANNOYING TESTS) I think i broke a record for the math today, 6 minutes with no paper. I enjoyed the break once the tests were over, i read almost 5 books over the three days.
MRS HILL COMES BACK TOMORROW. I am so excited. Mrs Hendrick is leaving!!
We watched the play today, it was pretty good, except eric needs to operate the sound booth better.
Today when I got home from school, I decided to clean my room, but got carried away, and spent almost 3 hours. It looks nice, but now I have all of the homework to do. I didnt take notes for history, so Im just going to look up the underground railroad online. And we have bible reports, and science reports to do this weekend, so i think that ill get started on those.
Then I have saxophone from 8-9.
Now im getting hungry, so im going to put the sausage (is that how you spell it?) into the oven, and getting something to eat.

Stop! Take some time to think, think about what's important to you....
Yesterday I went to Eamons house. (surprise surprise)
We had fun, we started off eating, (waffles). And then made a pizza. And what goes hand in hand with eating?? Exactly, so we rode bikes to the nearest store. I mean, four stores, and not near. Two and a half hours later, well, elise kinda got lost, so we had to go find her.
Then we got back, made an apple pie, ate some of it, repaired the crust (hehe), and watched school of rock. Me and Aisha had a nice little meditation session. We started on the roof, but decided burning incense on top of the house wasnt such a bright idea, so we went downstairs, by the pool house. (1. Okay, this was the buddhist part of the weekend)
We went to a sader, of course we left 40 minutes after we were supposed to arrive there. And the sader was cool. (2. Jewish part of the weekend)
Got back at 11:46. I told my dad that i would be back at 10. (hehe, poor dad)
Woke up at 5:50 this morning, and got ready for church, i was reading the lesson. (3. The lutheran part of the weekend) Once "church" was finished, i walked down the street to my actual church, where i was thurifer. (4. episcopalian part) Then i went to confirmation class, (i am not in the mood for spelling today, sorry =P)
My dad took me to santa anita mall, where "I" shopped for a suit. Okay, my dad really likes to make me try things on. The first hour was spend trying on this nice suit, of course my dad decided that it was way to much, and we went to the next store.
Three hours later, I picked out a suit, and, POOF there goes Tessa college tuition. My dad (worn out) took me to drink coffee in borders. I pursuaded him to buy me some books, poof, my school money gone.
And thats when my dad saw one of those "claw" machine thingys where you get beanie babies.

Pizza
Yes, i had pizza. While watching some movie called "a room with a view" i didnt really get the storyline.
And camille and harry were really anoying me today. I was so confused. Stop switching phones

Lets hope that this title is better that the last one
Today we had two really easy tests, except i forgot to do one of the questions on the shakespeare test.
It was asking for a written answer to what "posting that banns" was. My hand hurt, so i decided to leave it for later, and go on to true and false. Then, of course, i forgot about it.
At lunch camille gave me some of her soda. That was nice of her.
And then during math mrs pattinelli said something really funny, well, she was going to, but she stopped herself (thank god). Me and eamon got it, but no one else did. It was pretty funny.

Today was okay, i was sad for some reason.
I saw roscos on the news
The la salle test was okay
It was really easy, but one of the test's answers was wrong, so i wrote them a note on the test in my extra time.
Now just chilling with my day off tomorrow.
